This class is designed for kids with High-Functioning Autism, Asperger's Syndrome, anxiety or general social challenges and is designed to help kids develop communication skills and social understanding through theatre games and activities. The class will participate in theatre games and acting exercises and work on developing voice and body language skills to play a variety of characters. In this session, the class will collaborate on writing a scene that they will perform for family and friends on the last day of class. Goals for this workshop include building friendships through common interests, building self esteem through theatre games and improv, and providing a safe place for students to be who they are and explore creatively and work on social skills.
