Street Skills Camp coaches kids at their level, on safe and legal road riding through fun games, challenges and riding adventures around the island. Open to All Genders – Designed for a Female-Centered Experience We're more than a fun bike safety camp, we do individualized coaching with each bike rider to help them advance his skills on bikes and understand traffic laws, communicate with drivers for safest, predictable riding habits. Kids have fun and gain riding independence! High Visibility Bike vest included. Monday: Meet at Bohol Circle (end of 5th street by Target) for the first day. Helmet fit, Bike safety check, Bike handling practice with games & challenges on blacktop, park games & lunch, bike lock demo & practice ending with short fun ride. Tuesday: Practicing using gears, 4-way stop intersection practice of right of way with car traffic. Wednesday: Lunch at In-N-Out. Rides to schools, practice locking at school and other bike racks. Thursday: Meet as SF Ferry with bikes for fun and fantastic day in San Francisco. Friday: Alameda Amazing Race using bike maps, Scavenger hunt. REQUIREMENTS 1. Camper and parent/guardian is required attend an Urban Cycling in person class together. 4/26 Class. 1-2 more dates posted https://www.easystreetcycling.com/schools as scheduled. 3. Parents/guardians, bring your rider with their bike and helmet to Cycle City or Westside Joe's for fit and mechanic/safety check. Mechanic safety and fit checks need be completed before at least 2 weeks before the first day of camp. 4. Kids bring all items on equipment list or purchase available items from Easy Street Cycling. Required items: * Hand sanitizer * Sunblock * U-lock OR Heavy Chain * Looped end cable * Water bottle mounted or Camelbak * Kickstand mounted on the bike * Spare tube in case of un-patchable flat
