About This Activity

This class is designed for 3rd-8th grade students. Students will learn the art of Improvisation through games, activities and non-scripted scenes. The fundamentals and the basic rules of improv will be explored. Some of the same games that have been played on Whose Line Is It Anyway and by professional improv troupes across the country will be introduced. Students will get to be part of the Performance Showcase on April 1st and 2nd and will include a few evenings practice the week of March 28. INSTRUCTOR JOHN WALDRON received his BFA in theatre from Virginia Commonwealth University. As an actor, director, and instructor, he has been working in the region for over 20 years. He has directed shows at Aldersgate and MVCCT. John can be seen in the motion picture 'Talk To Me' starring Don Cheadle and was featured on Investigative Discovery show 'Who The Bleep!'.
