To enroll in the Wills Park Summer Camp Session(s) the SUMMER CAMP - APPLICATION (WILLS PARK, WILLS PARK: LEVEL UP & WILLS PARK: EXTREME) must be completed prior to enrolling in the sessions for this camp. The Application must be completed on a separate transaction.
WILLS PARK SUMMER CAMP: EXTREME IS LOCATED AT ALPHARETTA COMMUNITY CENTER175 ROSWELL ST. ALPHARETTA, GA
This summer camp for 12 - 14 year-old is dedicated to helping campers explore deeper into their many hobbies and interests. Extreme allows campers to participate in age-appropriate exciting activities both on and off-site. Just a few experiences include group challenges, walks around the city square, special guests, field trips, swimming, and a range of other activities
REGISTRATION INFORMATIONRegistration can be done online or in person. The registration packet has been replaced with the SUMMER CAMP - APPLICATION (WILLS PARK, WILLS PARK: LEVEL UP, & WILLS PARK: EXTREME). To register for the sessions of Wills Park Camp this application must be completed first. If you have questions please e-mail recreation@alpharetta.ga.us. You will not be able to register for the weekly sessions until the application activity is completely processed.
CAMP HOURSScheduled Activities 9:00 am - 4:00 pmPre-Camp 7:30 am - 9:00 amPost Camp 4:00 pm - 6:00 pmRegistration includes both pre/post care.
AGE REQUIREMENTSAge requirements have been established to safely facilitate age-appropriate activities. Campers will be placed into groups according to their age.
COMMUNICATIONOn-going communication between staff, parents, and campers is critical to your child achieving a successful and fun experience at camp. If at any time you need to share information, concerns or compliments, we encourage you to speak with a staff member. To contact your child during camp hours, please call (678) 297-6100.
LUNCHCampers are required to bring a lunch and beverage each day. Refrigeration and microwave facilities are not available to campers.
SIGN IN/SIGN OUT PROCEDURESFor the safety of each child, all campers must be signed in and signed out each day. Campers may only be picked up and signed out by an authorized person (indicated at time of registration). Campers may not sign themselves in or out. Please be ready to show a photo I.D. to a staff member.
CAMP ATTIRE & PERSONAL ITEMSAll campers should wear comfortable clothing each day. Campers should wear athletic shoes (no flip-flops or Crocs). Campers are discouraged from bringing personal items such as electronics, jewelry or items of value. Campers are responsible for their personal possessions. The City of Alpharetta Recreation Parks & Cultural Services Department is not responsible for loss or damage to personal items brought to camp.
COMMEMORATIVE T-SHIRTAll campers will receive one commemorative camp t-shirt for the summer (not required to be worn each day). Campers are required to wear the camp t-shirt when the camp goes on field trips.
SUN PROTECTIONMany camp activities are outdoors, your child is at risk for sunburn. Campers should arrive at camp with sunscreen already applied, as well as with additional sunscreen. We recommend campers use sunscreen with a SPF of at least 30.
MEDICATIONIf your child needs medicine while at camp, you will need to fill out an Authorization to Give Medication at Camp Form or an Over-the-Counter Medication Permission Form.
ILLNESSESFor the protection of all campers and staff, any child believed to have an infectious illness should not attend camp. If a staff member becomes aware that child is sick, the parent or guardian will be called to pick up the child.
