Description
Grades: K-5th. Pack your bags and “travel” the world to learn how different cultures create art. Make a bold Kente cloth inspired by Africa, design intricate Indian mandalas, and paint serene cherry blossoms from Japan. Discover the storytelling behind Aboriginal dot painting in Australia to help you create vibrant designs that reflect the connection between art, land, and culture in Indigenous Australian art. Craft vibrant Mexican Papel Picado and unleash creativity with colorful Chinese dragons. Each week, journey into the rich artistic traditions of a different culture, blending history, fun, and hands-on creativity. Scholarship recipients pay a $20 material fee.
