Discover how to design and create a rain garden for your yard. Rain gardens are shallow depressions that collect rainwater before it enters the municipal storm water system. This may alleviate problems associated with flooding and drainage. It also recharges your ground water and provides habitat and food for wildlife, including butterflies. Understand how to choose native plants that will enhance the beauty of your yard while helping you manage your water flow. Instructor: Drew Laithin, owner Creating Sustainable Landscapes. 1 class.
