We're sorry, but Internet registration is not allowed for this class.
This yearlong weekly group class provides students who have not studied music previously with an introduction to music at the piano. Students develop a strong foundation in rhythm, note reading, and basic technique that leads to successful private study the following year. Each student is provided with his or her own acoustic piano in the classroom and learns how to develop critical listening skills and proper pianistic habits.
Please note: All classes cover the same materials and are for one year only. To begin placement, please complete a New Student Placement Form.
For more information, please contact Sonya Schumann, Group Piano Coordinator, at (202) 686-8000 x1721 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
A placement session is required for entry and, once placed, group students must enroll for the full year. Please note that placement is not guaranteed. A $50 materials fee must be paid separately before the first group class.
