Algebra II and Trigonometry is a combination of algebraic and geometric concepts. We will learn how to graph several types of functions. To do so, we will learn how to compute inverses of functions as well as how to apply transformations of special functions, including absolute value functions. We will review how to solve and graph inequalities in one and two variables. In our quadratics lessons, we will introduce the concept of imaginary numbers and how to solve and graph quadratic functions with complex answers. We will review the concepts of exponential growth and decay; graphing exponential and logarithmic functions; and solving exponential and logarithmic equations. Similarly, we will learn how to solve and graph polynomials using synthetic and long division. Then we will cover arithmetic and geometric sequences and series and various concepts associated with statistics,including mean and standard deviation, normal distribution, and margin of error. Lastly, we will complete a unit on trigonometry in which we will examine right triangles, radian measure and arc length, fundamental trigonometric identities, and graphing and applying trigonometric functions.
