Enrichment Activities available: (selection made in registration form. You will have the option of choosing Homebase or ONE of the following enrichment classes) Swimming Instructors: Ed Brown (Sept. 6-Oct.13), Pat Mineur (Oct. 18-Jan.20) Time: 4:00-5:15 Children will learn competitive swimming including correct technique for the four strokes: freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly. Finish each lesson with a fun game. This is a great way to stay competitive for the Old Trail swim team Team Robotics Instructor: Anne Riede Time: 4:00-5:15 Students will participate in building and programming robots as a part of a 3‐7 member team. They will use EV-3 LEGO Robotics kits, learn programming, teamwork, problem‐solving and gracious professionalism, while participating in the 2016 Challenge: Animal Allies. Get ready. Get set. Roar! Or you could bark, quack, or squeak, because this season is all about our furry, feathered, and finned friends. Students will look into the eyes of our Animal Allies. What might become possible when we learn to help each other? Teams will also build, test, and program an autonomous robot to solve a set of missions on an obstacle course. Participants will present their findings and test their robots in a fair on Thursday, Dec. 8th at Old Trail.
