LEARNING OBJECTIVES the opportunity to expand their fitness level through fitness swimming or pursue a special focus such as competitive swimming, Junior Lifeguarding, snorkeling and skin diving, water polo or synchronized swimming.
REQUIRED SKILLS TO PARTICIPATE: Can swim 100 yards (4 lengths of the lap pool) of each: crawl stoke for using bi-lateral breathing, breast stroke, elementary back stroke, back crawl stroke and sidestroke and swim 25 yards (the length of the lap pool) butterfly stroke. Tread water 6 minutes using all four kicks and float for 6 minutes with clothes on. Swim underwater three-four body lengths. Properly use mask and snorkel. Flip turns for back and crawl strokes.
