Campers experience the adventure and excitement of the outdoors, meet new friends, and express their growing independence under the supervision of qualified and caring recreation staff. Camp activities include games, sports, weekly field trips, crafts, silly songs, and water play.
Typical week at Camp SOAR:
Mondays: Discovery day - Meet all your awesome camp counselors and fellow campers with a welcome ceremony and camp-wide activity to kick off the first day of camp!
Tuesdays: All-Star Day - Campers will have the opportunity to earn stars throughout the day for modeling great camper behavior and participating in various group competitions. The group with the most stars collected by the end of the day will receive a special prize!
Wednesdays: Off-site field trip - Campers will hop on a bus and experience exciting places for a day packed with fun! They are typically back from their trip by 4pm.
Thursdays: Adventure day - Embark on adventures throughout Twin Pines Park! Campers will go on hikes, visit the creek, solve scavenger hunts and jump in a bounce house! Campers are encouraged to dress up for the theme of the week.
Fridays: Water Play - Hawks will cool off in the hot summer days with a variety of water-based games while Eagles will head to the pool at Carlmont High School to take a swim! *All campers please bring a swimsuit and towel.
Camp SOAR is a nut-free zone!
2-4 days before your camp week starts, you will receive an email notification with more information regarding the upcoming week.
What to Pack: Camp T-shirt (Tue-Fri), Water bottle, lunch, morning and afternoon snack, sunscreen, closed-toed shoes, backpack
Fridays Only: Please ensure your child has a swimsuit, flip flops, closed-toed shoes, towel, bag for wet items, and a change of clothes.
