About This Activity

Too much information, too little time to process? Learn how to focus on your conceptual ideas and use your vocabulary of accumulated information be it visual or verbal. The class will utilize a variety of collage techniques from traditional to the latest inventions to create focused contextual pieces of artworks. One day of class will be dedicated to a collaborative project among all students to create collages based on a chosen subject with all subjective views combined into a new whole. Sundays January 15, 22, and 29 from 10 am - 4 pm $20 Materials fee payable in cash to the instructor on the first day of class Instructor bio: Theodora Varnay Jones received her BFA and MFA from The Academy of Fine Arts, Budapest, Hungary. She is recipient of numerous awards from museums, universities and other institutions throughout the US, Europe, Asia, and South America. She has recently exhibited at Stanford University, San Jose ICA, Fresno Art Museum, Don Soker Gallery, and Seattle Art Museum Gallery. She has lectured and taught at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, Kyoto Seika University in Japan, and at UC Davis. www.theodoravarnayjones.com
