Requires a full year commitment. Using Hip Hop aesthetics, this class is an experiential collaboration. From warms ups to across the floor, to individual and group choreography, material is developed via classroom discussions and themes. Dancers will practice leadership by helping design the flow of class, assessing their own development, and creating the vision of the final performance piece including costumes. Requires at least 2 semesters in Level I and a recommendation from the teacher. ADDITIONAL ENROLLMENT NOTES FOR UPPER LEVEL & TEEN STUDENTS. Students & parents please read, share, discuss. Contact Katie Kruger with questions at firstname.lastname@example.org. Students in upper level classes have done the foundational work to move up and experience a greater challenge. We expect students in intermediate, advanced, youth ensemble, and Level I, II and III to honor this accomplishment with a solid commitment to their dancing. What does this mean? This means: • prioritizing attendance at dance classes; perfect attendance will offer you the most progress in your studies; limiting absences to 3 per semester will help us all achieve positive growth in our dance practice over the course of the semester • coming to class on time, ready to dance and work hard • demonstrating respect for yourself, instructors and fellow dancers • dancing, trying, succeeding, failing, questioning, communicating, enjoying, discovering, connecting & honoring your accomplishments Thank you. We look forward to dancing with you!
