This introductory short class offers a 30 minute group class and a 15minute private lesson (to be scheduled with teacher) for each student. The early years are crucial for exposure to music , developing mental processes and muscle coordination. In this Suzuki-based introduction to violin, children will be engaged in playful rhythms ,movements ,tunes, and activities while developing skills necessary for violin playing: posture, concentration , coordination, right and left hand technique and specific violin songs . Parents will be actively engaged in this process while being guided in creating a natural, relaxed home environment for your child's practice that is both fun and musically rewarding. Individual lessons allow each student to learn at his/her own pace while participation in a weekly group class helps reinforce skills, introduce new concepts and share in music making with opportunities for individual mini-performances.
