About This Activity
Description
All equipment needed for the camp will be provided by the instructors of the camp.Bettendorf Parks and Recreation is partnering with Davenport Valley Archers and the Youth Shooting Sports Association to provide an Explore Archery Camp for youth! Explore Archery is an innovative education program focused on introducing beginners of all ages and abilities to the lifelong sport of archery. The curriculum is developmentally progressive and takes students from simple games to shooting in more complex competitions. Explore Archery teaches students important life skills such as scoring and math, team building, problem solving, decision-making, critical thinking and predicting!
In Explore Archery, students earn achievement awards through active participation in individual and team-building activities. The focus is on building fundamental skills, a competitive edge and a bit of creativity – not on athletic ability or perfect scores.
