World Dance is a four-day journey to countries around the world through the dance and music of each culture. Three countries will be explored and the final day of camp will be a review and preparation for a concert for family and friends. Participants will see pictures or videos about each country, complete crafts in addition to moving and grooving to world music. Three simple choreographies will be taught and the children will perform all three in a final production. Ginny Watts is Director and Lead Choreographer for The Caravan of Dreams World Dance Troupe, LLC, based in Bozeman, Montana. In addition to a Bachelor’s Degree in Child Development and a Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling, Ginny has studied world dance for over 40 years. She has performed in venues from Massachusetts to Maui, and taught workshops and classes in world dance in communities from coast to coast. Ginny has educated preschoolers to college students in the wonders of world dance—working with such groups as the Gallatin Valley Home School program, the Montana State University preschool, Belgrade Middle School, Montana State University World Dance class, the Yellowstone Club, the Gardiner High School, and Camp Big Sky.
