6 Small Paintings...An Exploration of Acrylic Techniques & Color
Instructor: Jennifer Fitzpatrick
Small paintings have an immediacy, clarity and
simplicity. They allow a student to get an idea, rapidly
develop it, and are ideal for exploring a subject,
developing technique, and expanding the imagination.
The student will grow their observational
skills, learn several painting styles, enhance color
sensitivity, and learn multiple ways to compose with
space. The result will be a body of small works that
may lead to larger paintings and also serve as a set
of small portfolio pieces demonstrating composition,
style and color experience. A materials list will
be provided on the first day of class.
