About This Activity
Description
In this course students will use previous skills and learned techniques in a more extensive and immersive class intended to increase comfortability and endurance. The expectations are to use the four main swimming strokes to better improve their consistency with each. Perfect for experienced youth swimmers looking for a non-competitive, but still challenging course to test and train their abilities. Students at this level must be familiar and able to swim a minimum of 2 lengths of all 4 major strokes. They must be familiar with treading water, flip turns, open turns, and diving; these skills do not yet have to be mastered. They should be able to swim a combination of strokes for a total of 100 yards.
Developmental Novice Expectations include: Must be familiar and able to swim a minimum of 2 lengths of all 4 major strokes, which includes Freestyle, Backstroke, Breaststroke, and Butterfly. They must be familiar with (but not mastered) Flip Turns, Open Turns/Underwater Pulls, and Diving. They must have the ability to tread water for 1 full minute. They must have the ability to swim a combination of strokes for a total of 100 yards.
Please bring swimsuit and towel for your child.
Makeup classes will not be provided if you miss a class. No refunds will be provided.
