Level 3- Ages 6 Years to Teen - Stroke Development: Builds on the skills in level 2 through additional guided practice in deeper water. These course descriptions are exit skill requirements to move onto the next level. Enter water by jumping from the side, fully submerge then recover to the surface and return to the side. Headfirst entries from the side in sitting and kneeling positions. Bobbing while moving toward safety. Rotary breathing. Back float. Survival float. Change from vertical to horizontal position on front and back. Tread water. Flutter and dolphin kicks on front. Scissors and breaststroke kicks. Front crawl and elementary backstroke. Age appropriate water safety topics.
Anyone may register for ONE session of lessons. To sign up for additional sessions, you must wait until the session you are currently in has ended, allowing you to register for the next appropriate level. This will allow everyone the opportunity to register and participate in at least one session.
Staff recommends child brings swim goggles and a dry towel.
