Description
(Formerly 6U Soccer League)Hill House's renowned in-house fall soccer leagues give players the opportunity to play soccer in a supportive and rewarding environment that emphasizes fun, teamwork, and skill-building at a level that fits his or her interest and ability.
World Cup Soccer Structure:
- Practice from 5:15-5:45pm or 5:45-6:15pm on Tuesdays at the Boston Common.
- Practice time based on team assignment.
- Same practice time for the whole season.
- *Practice will run from 5:15-6:15pm for eveyone if there are less than 6 teams.
- Games at either 8:30 or 9:30am on Saturdays.
- Game times will rotate.
- Teams should have roughly the same number of games at each time.
- *Games will run at just 9:30am for eveyone if there are less than 6 teams.
- Season Schedule and team assignments will be distributed before the season starts.
Game Structure:
- Co-ed teams are created and led by Hill House staff and parent volunteers.
- If any families still have an interest in helping as a volunteer coach, then please reach out to us to learn more.
- Each team is scheduled to play each other at least once during the season.
- Game times vary from week to week. Your game will either start at 8:30am or 9:30am.
- Teams will split up to play two simultaneous games against their opponent (allowing more playing time and touches).
- Ex. Spain will play Brazil on BOTH field A and field B.
- Games are four 8-minute quarters with water breaks.
- Every player will receive a fun participation trophy during the last session to celebrate the end of the season.
- Players will all receive team jerseys based on traditional World Cup Soccer teams/nations.
- Players should wear shin guards and cleats for practice and games.
- Our jerseys are Youth Small for this league (please leave a note in the registration page if you require a larger size).
