About This Activity
Description
Parlando's popular group piano class for younger beginners is getting a re-vamp! For the first time ever, students will get an intro to both piano and violin, while also incorporating singing and movement activities for a well-rounded introduction to music study. Each week, students will begin as a group with songs and movement, then break into two sections. Each section will spend 7 consecutive weeks on the violin, and 7 consecutive weeks on the piano, trading instruments halfway through the semester. This beginning music class provides children with a strong musical foundation in an exciting, social environment.
Throughout the semester, students learn functional technique, note identification, foundational music reading skills and general musicianship. Each class involves games, popular songs, improvisation and group ensembles to make learning fun.
NOTE: One adult is required to attend class with their child. *Violins are provided for the duration of the class.
