Who is AAC? The Apprentice Actors Company is an entry level performing arts division of Actors Academy and is for students grades 5-8 wishing to enter the academy but who fit into one of the below categories: 1. Student may not meet the prerequisites to enter AAPA at an equivalent level to their peers. 2. There is no space available in the company for which they auditioned. 3. Student prefers to start with a smaller time commitment while seeing if this type of environment is a fit. Why AAC? AAC will bridge the gap between age and experience. Students will be immersed in a stimulating, comprehensive curriculum of acting methodology, musical theater, improvisation, auditioning, scene study and scene work, along with opportunities to study dance and vocals in a safe, supportive and non competitive arena. Furthermore, AAC is a great way for the older and or less experienced student interested in learning more about the performing arts to prepare for more sophisticated learning and performing opportunities at the academy or elsewhere. What will AAC Students be doing? AAC Students will be in a “ Fundamentals of Acting Master Class” from 10:00-11:30 am and a “Musical Theater Intensive” from 11:30am-1:00 pm each Saturday. AAC students will perform a dramatic work and several musical theater pieces at both our fall and spring theatre showcases and recitals and will also participate in our closing company wide Olympics of the theater we call “Dramathon”. In this way students have numerous and diverse opportunities to perform during the year.
