About This Activity
Description
Climbing Level 1
Ages 5 - 7 This is a fun, play-based class for kids who enjoy climbing and want to develop and/or enhance their skills. This class encourages elementary school-aged kids to participate in both weekly and session-long climbing challenges, to learn technical climbing skills, and to practice teamwork, communication and peer support via numerous fun activities.Transportation is provided from Upper Blue and Breckenridge Elementary. Students not attending Breckenridge schools are encouraged to participate but need to provide their own transportation.
Financial assistance may be available through the Bentley Bedker Scholarship. Applications for the Bedker Scholarship are located at the Front Desk of the Breckenridge Recreation Center. Scholarship money may be applied to the climbing program and potentially personal climbing equipment. Please contact the Outdoor Programs Coordinator Jane Horton for more information at 970-547-4313.
