About This Activity
1-Day Workshop Learn the basics of punch needle embroidery, from designing your own image and stretching your fabric, to familiarizing yourself with the punch needle tool and completing a small textile piece. Students will experiment with texture, line, and color while discovering the many creative possibilities of this meditative and versatile fiber art. No experience necessary, and all materials will be provided. Haley Wood is a Cambridge-based fiber artist who has been working with punch needle embroidery and rug tufting since 2018. She has exhibited her work at the Abigail Ogilvy Gallery in Los Angeles, the MassArt Auction, and the Spring/Break Art Fair in Manhattan.
