About This Activity
Food Art for Kids, LLC (Est. 2011) is an educational program focusing on teaching children nutrition basics and healthy eating principles through exploration and hands-on activities such as cooking and science experiments. In the upcoming semester, Food Art is offering its Eating the Rainbow class in which students will explore different tastes, textures, and flavors. Our goal is for students to expand their palates and experiment in making their own food. Students will come back home with a tasty salad or other healthy dish in hand and will be excited to share it (and the knowledge behind it) with their families. The class is taught by Michelle Thaler, who has been teaching food and nutrition to Brooklyn children since 2011.
