Budding performers learn technique, craft and courage in our weekly performance-based camps for ages 6-11. In addition to building toward the thrilling culminating performance, daily activities include improvisation, creative movement and imagination-based character work. Camp size is limited to 14 kids with a director, teacher and guest artist daily facilitating the rehearsals. These sessions develop essential life-long skills such as creativity, teamwork, spontaneity, active listening, and risk-taking. Professional performers with degrees in theater lead the sessions. All weeks culminate in a performance for family and friends on Friday. Fluid reading skills are a prerequisite for these sessions. ROALD DAHL ON STAGE Join us as we explore the wild and wondrous worlds of our favorite children’s author! We rehearse a fully staged production of a Roald Dahl book and delve into acting technique, comedic timing and character development. Song and spoken-word poetry also by Dahl will augment our rehearsal process.
