The NBW Summer Academy combines a set of introductory sports activities at the Academy center or nearby outdoor location with fun arts & crafts breaks. Sports Activities: Focus on introducing skateboarding, biking, acrobatics, yoga, and developing individual motor skills led by experienced specialists. All activities are designed to provide a fun introduction for campers to become confident in various sports and conduct them safely. No prior knowledge or “athletic” character is required. Daily Art Explorers sessions: Most children cannot stay active for a full day, so we like to combine sports with calmer activities to practice rest and recharge. Art Explorers will allow campers to explore art media and techniques inspired by fun weekly themes. Daily sessions offer kids the opportunity to begin growing into their personal style while they learn and develop art skills using various art materials. We will be delving into pattern making, building shapes with clay, painting, illustration, fiber arts, etc. Day camp: 9.00 am - 3.00 pm Age: 4-8 Group size: 8-10 campers with a 1-4 student-to-caretaker ratio Drop off and pick up are at our new location at 180 Van Dyke St, Brooklyn, NY 11231.
