This summer will be the 20th year of Adventure Amputee Camp and we keep getting better. We will have a bus ready to pick up campers in Atlanta and take them to camp or you can meet us at camp in Bryson City, NC. Applying to Camp: Priority will be given to new campers and those put on the waiting list last year. Also, medical and liability releases will be required for the safety of your camper and for camp. We can accommodate a maximum of 34 campers. Upon receipt of your application and selection to camp, we will send you a complete information packet with all the camp preparation details. Applications are due by April 15, 2015 What does it cost? Thanks to the generosity of many donors, a $25 application fee for first time campers, and $50 application for repeat campers. If this fee presents a hardship, check the appropriate box on the application form, and the fee is waived. No camper is turned away due to financial hardship. Registration fees will be refunded to those not accepted to camp. Who is Adventure Amputee Camp for? Camp is for any boy or girl ages 8-17 who is missing one or more limbs or has a difference in one or more limbs. Campers must be able to understand and follow directions, and be willing to participate in all activities. Volunteers are available to help campers who may have physical challenges with the activities. Some campers, ages 15-17, may be given "Junior Counselor" status to help with activities and organization.
