This course is designed for students who are new to the studio; no experience is necessary. Drawing Fundamentals I: Learning to Draw is for students who are beginning their artistic journey. It is also suitable for those students who love to draw with past instruction and wish to improve their drawing technique using fundamental principles of drawing. Using Aliki's Seven-Step system, students build skills and confidence as they gain an understanding of drawing fundamentals (e.g., such as line and contour, positive shape and negative space, proportion, shading, texture) while exploring a wide variety of media (e.g., crayon, oil and chalk pastel, watercolour pencil, tempra paint, charcoal, ink, graphite.) There are an average of 4 classes per month for a total of 20 lessons. We have one break during this term on March 25, 2016.
