Temple Solel is excited to announce our new “camp-based” Kesher program for 3rd-6th grade Religious School students. It is the first of it’s kind in the county. The main goals of the Kesher program are to build Jewish friendships and create an environment for students to learn in a fun and engaging setting. Each week, students will not only attend grade level classes, but will also participate in camp-like activities such as Cooking, Krav Maga (Israeli Martial Art), Jewish Yoga, Art, Drama, Social Action, Technology, Archery, Drum Circle, Singing and Hikes. Each activity will be infused with thematic Jewish learning. The Kesher theme for the 2014-2015 school year will be Jewish values as they relate to our own lives. These will include T’shuvah (thinking about our actions and trying to improve), B’tzelem Elohim (living with the awareness that we are created in God’s image) and L’Dor V’Dor (passing our stories and ethical lessons from one generation to the next).
