This class will teach older kids and adults how to thread and use their sewing machine; how to cut out patterns; pin it ot the fabric; and cut it out. Students will be using straight stitch and zig-zag stitch to sew their project. Students will sew a bag, PJ pants, an apron, and another project to be determined later on in the course. Students will need to bring a sewing machine to class if possible (the city has machines available. Let us know if you need to use one of these when you register), 1/2 yard of fabric and 1/2 yard of contrasting fabric and thread, good scissors, pin cushion and pins, and a seam ripper. Instructor will provide a list of additional materials needed for future classes.
