About This Activity
This program is for children ages 5 to 11 years and takes place at Victoria Park, with walking pick up from West Kent School (or you can drop your children off directly at the park, at the Forbes Kennedy Way parking lot, at 3:00). Join us as we marvel at the fun and beauty of winter! Activities are weather dependent but may include sledding, building snow forts and survival shelters, creating art with nature, playing games, swinging in hammocks, exploring the forest, and more! *Please send your child with an extra set of snacks for after school, and consider labelling them "Wild Child" so they know to save it for after school. Please also send them with extra pairs of thick socks, and extra mittens. **Please dress your child in lots of warm layers including a base layer, snow pants, thick socks (not a double layer of cotton socks), warm sweaters, a winter jacket, warm insulated and waterproof boots, a hat, neck warmer, and mittens! ***Note that there is no program on Feb 16 due to Islander Day, March 16 due to March Break, and April 6 due to Easter Monday ***April 27th is a storm make-up day, if needed.
