About This Activity
**Unfortunately, this class has been CANCELLED due to low enrollment a/o 03/13/24. ************************************************************************************************************* Meets on Thursdays. Art and Mindfulness will empower students to engage with meditation through awareness, presence, and non-judgment that will inspire their art. Whether a student currently identifies as an artist or not, they will learn a variety of meditative practices to center themselves and create! Mediums include Zentangle, watercolors, photography, and more. We will explore walking meditation, awareness of physical experiences (i.e. body scan meditations), and other sensory-based activities. Weather-permitting, some days we will enjoy nearby nature like the Alfred Caldwell Lily Pool, the Zoo, and beautiful Lincoln Park! Catheryn Seibert, 3rd Grade Assistant Teacher
