About This Activity
AUDITION FORMAT & DRESS The audition consists of a ballet class, LINES repertoire, and guided movement exploration. Wear form-fitting dancewear and style hair neatly away from your face. Most students wear a leotard and tights or shorts, but there is no restriction on color or style. Pointe work is not required at the audition. SUMMER PROGRAM Alonzo King LINES Ballet | Summer Programs are designed for aspiring artists ages 11–25 and offer a unified approach to dance, combining artistic growth and technical training—rooted in the philosophy of Alonzo King. Dancers are guided on a collaborative journey that takes the foundation of ballet, contemporary, and modern dance and builds on the artistic values of creativity, risk-taking, independent thinking, problem solving, and exploration. Pre-Professional Program | June 8-27 | Ages 18*-25 | *Must be 18 by start of program Advanced Program | July 13 - August 1 | Ages 14*-17 | *Must be 14 by start of program Junior Program | June 29 - July 3 & July 6-10 | Ages 11*-14 | *Must be 11 by start of program.
