About This Activity

Description

Can understand and use familiar everyday expressions and very basic phrases aimed at satisfying needs of a concrete type. Can introduce him/herself and others, and can ask and answer questions about personal details such as where he/she lives, people he/she knows, and things he/she has. Can interact in a simple way provided the other person talks slowly and clearly and is prepared to help.

New students who are not complete beginners must take a placement test. It is made up of two parts: written (multiple choice section & a short writing sample) and oral (brief conversation with an instructor). The test is offered Monday through Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm. No appointment is necessary.

Please note that you can purchase the required textbook as an add-on to your Online registration and pick it up at the Registration Desk on the 1st day of class.
