Description
14U Softball is for girls ages 11-14 year olds. 11 year olds may either play in the 9-11 division or the 11-14 division.
We are a member of the Tri-County League. Games will be played at Danner Park, Ludlow, Hamilton, Polo, Braymer, Richmond, and Hardin.
Must not turn 15 before April 30.
14u Softball Practice Expectations: At least one practice per week. Weekly practices must be at least 60 minutes in length. Practices must include at least 10 minutes of throwing and catching, 10 minutes of fielding, and 10 minutes of batting. Coaches may be innovative and include different types of ways to work on these fundamental skills. Additional games and activities are also highly encouraged to create an exciting environment. We recommend a 2-to-1 ratio for sport-specific practice drills and fun games or group activities for these age groups. Conditioning should be lightly implemented in this division. For every 1-hour of practice time, no more than 15 minutes should be spent on conditioning (only running). Additional "conditioning" may be completed through active drills that are engaged in the sport.
Athletes will receive: Shirt (1), Ball Cap: Visor (1), Socks (1).
Athletes must wear long black pants. Neutral colored cleats are highly recommended.
