Origami is a traditional Japanese art of paper folding to create various things like animals, flowers, boxes, even toys. Lessons enable stuents with different levels to make a few origami figures to take home at every class. Students are also introduced to Japanese language such as greetings, numbers, colors, sizes, and shapes.
Origami stimulates the development of fine motor skills (hand-eye coordination), social skills (cooperative learning), cognitive skills (creativity, imagination, and memory), mathematical skills (geometry) and multi-cultural awareness. Origami can be enjoyed by both children and adults. Parents are welcomed stay and learn with your child(ren). Supplies are included in the course fee.
