Each week students will use the Systems Engineering process to define, design, prototype and test amazing builds. Each day they will have take-home projects where they will build upon their base knowledge of how things work. Through this process they will learn how to build the strongest bridges to see which team can hold the most weight (math, science and engineering), and make their own stomp rockets to learn about aerodynamics. The best part of the session is learning and building their own ballistic project! That's right, they will learn all about tension and trajectory to build their very own life-size catapult that each child will take home at the end of the camp. The kids will split into teams and test their builds with a water balloon siege complete with forts (just to ensure that it works of course!) Kids will discover how to use real tools such as saws, power drills and power screwdrivers - all under teacher supervision.
