Sports can be a positive experience for your kid’s mind, as well as their body. Many positive aspects of growth can result from sports participation, including higher self-esteem, social skills, discipline, and respect for others.

The Travel basketball teams have three weekly practices, new gear, and travel to at least 2 local/regional Competitive Leagues/Tournaments.

Our goal is to provide a positive and enriching environment that encourages personal growth. To be about the process, the journey, confidence, accountability- building strong character, being resilient, being a team-player, service focused and working to your ability all the time.

Developing athletes to become “Champions of Character”.

Providing each athlete with the knowledge, tools, and strategy to improve.

Creating a collaborative team environment that enhances each athlete's confidence and skill.

Preparing each athlete to succeed at their next level, whether on or off the court.

The coaching philosophy and program at Coatesville is around supporting the overall development and well-being of the individuals within the team game.

Our Coaches will be hardworking, enthusiastic and looking to encourage the participants at every opportunity while managing and exceeding the standards required on the age appropriate development levels.

Coatesville Coaches will look to focus on the whole-player approach to develop not only the participant’s physical development, but also the social and emotional levels as well. Coaches will promote team cohesion, service and accountability. They will focus not only on the strengths of the players, but addressing their “workupons” as well. They will use a variety of styles and strategies to teach the game and mentor participants.

Progressive development is a high priority to the club’s coaching staff and embracing modern ideas and technology is vital when working in tandem with all other departments within youth development.

We ask that if you commit to playing on Travel Team, that this team will be a priority. This team is for the dedicated basketball player that wishes to play against tougher competition and commit to a more demanding schedule than our recreational and developmental leagues. The Program team commitment is a minimum of 3 times per week.

We help young athletes reach their potential and achieve their athletic goals.

We can specialize by position or skill or teach to have an all-around skill set.

We are confident our basketball coaches and trainers will teach skills that give players an advantage on the court.

All training programs focus on the individual needs of each athlete.

All teams focus on individual development utilizing team concepts to maximize personal and team growth and potential.

Boys Grades 5, 6, 7

One team per division

Girls Grades 5, 6, 7

One team per division

The Program teams travel to be exposed to tougher and new competition. Traveling is a great way to gauge how our skills match up with teams nationwide.

Our travel schedule is pre-arranged before trying out. Teams will attend one or two leagues/tournaments over the 8–10 week season
