South Fulton Arts Center Creative Movement dance class is an introduction to ballet, using methods designed for young minds and bodies. Students begin to work on body alignment and posture as well as development of the feet and turnout. The class introduces fundamental skills and concepts of dance movement. Students learn flexibility, body awareness and musicality through exercises and imaginative play.
Dance Attire Requirement:
Girls: Black short sleeved leotard, flesh colored transition tights, and ballet shoes (sprayed flesh tone, fashion brown or tan) only. Hair away from the face. No decorative hair ornaments. Long hair must be secured back for class.
Boys: Solid white short sleeved t-shirt, solid black athletic short, white socks and black ballet shoes.
To ensure public safety for students, children under the age of 13 years old should not be dropped off and left unattended at the arts center. Children should be supervised by a caregiver at least 14 years old or older during class session.
