This is the camp where we hope to see our kids graduate out of as they, join a mountain bike team, maybe try racing, and explore more fun riding on a bicycle- no matter how it looks. The format of this week of camp is based on the ability of older kids (at least 10 years old) to ride all day at various locations throughout Colorado Springs. Kids have shown proficient skills at levels 2 and then 3 and have shown a true joy that comes from the experience of mountain biking. Riding time is extended, technical riding skills are practiced throughout a ride, and coaches help kids to identify various line choices, handling bikes with more control. Kids also learn more bicycle maintenance- particularly fixing a bike on the trail. Each day of the week is held at a different location for riding; examples are Bear Creek Park, Cheyenne Mountain State Park, Palmer Park, Ute Valley Park, and the Falcon Trail on the Air Force Academy.
