About This Activity

Description

This activity has been cancelled.

The popular Harry Potter camp has been transformed into a magical evening! Pack your bags and meet at Platform 9 ¾ a for an evening filled with plenty of Harry Potter hands-on activities such as: being sorted into houses (Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, Slytherin); visiting Honeydukes and making wizard candy to take home; playing Quidditch (on brooms); competing for the House Cup with Harry Potter trivia; and much more! All witches, wizards and muggles are welcome! So come join Rita Snyder and her team. The world of Harry Potter comes alive with plenty of magical activities. Throughout the evening, kids and adults will:

  • Be sorted into houses. Are you a Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw or Slytherin?
  • Decorate your own special broom (kids and adults) to play Quidditch.
  • Compete in the Quidditch World Cup on brooms! There will be both kids’ and adults’ Quidditch teams. Find out what country you’ll be playing for in the play-offs.
  • Visit Honeydukes and make wizard candy, including edible wands, acid lollipops and chocolate frogs.
  • Brew a gooey potion in its own cauldron during Potions class.
  • Create your family’s own version of the Weasley Family clock to display the whereabouts of family members, everyone gets their own clock hand to show their location. Are they at School, Home, Work or hopefully not in Mortal Peril!
  • Compete for the House Cup with Harry Potter trivia.
Takeaways for each child and adult will include a personally decorate broom; Honeydukes candy (edible wands, acid lollipops and chocolate frogs); a potion in its own cauldron, individual family location clock.
$60 fee includes participation of one adult and one child; $35 each additional person. Info: Danielle Bassett, 410-313-4634 or dbassett@howardcountymd.gov.
