Kids will get to play with the super power of this 21st century; discover the wonderful world of computer coding and unlock the secret of coding for kids starting with creating their own games. By doing that kids will improve their critical thinking, train their logic, stimulate their creativity, and improve their ability to solve bigger problems by breaking them down into smaller, easier to solve problems. Kids will have fun learning to code and build games using Scratch, a computer programming (coding) platform developed by MIT geared toward early childhood. It is used extensively worldwide to introduce coding to kids. All relevant concept of coding language can be demonstrated in Scratch in a very kid-like environment. Almost everything is drag and drop and it can be used to produce very sophisticated programs. Scratch will build the interest in kids and the transition to other programming language will be seamless. No prior knowledge of computer programming is required. However, kids should know how to use the mouse to navigate around the computer screen. Parents are welcome to join every class with their enrolled kids for free.
