Description
Take your acting skills to the next level! Students will explore advanced acting concepts like tactics, beats, and scene structure and apply these concepts to a variety of characters, scenes, and monologues. Students can make the most of this experience by memorizing material outside of class. Best for students who are familiar with acting fundamentals and who want to create believable characters onstage.Acting: Scenes & Monologues features a new curriculum each semester. Students are welcome to repeat the class.
This school-year-long program includes 14 weekly class sessions. Students are welcome to join during the Spring Semester if space is available. The last day to join this class during the Spring is Thursday, February 5.
A final Spring Showcase performance will be held on the CCPA stage on Friday, April 24, 2026! Two mandatory rehearsals for the Showcase will be held on Tuesday, April 21 and Thursday, April 23, times TBD.

Price includes a $25 non-refundable registration fee.
Registration prices for Coralville Parks & Recreation programs (including Young Footliters) are subsidized for City of Coralville residents. All others will see a "non-resident fee" which reflects the full cost of the program.
