Preschool Aquatics teaches aquatic and safety skills in a logical progression. There are no prerequisites for this course. The objective of PS I is to help children feel comfortable in the water and to enjoy the water safely. In PS I, elementary aquatic skills are taught, which children build on as they progress through the preschool Aquatics and Red Cross levels. In this class, children also start developing good attitudes and safe practices around the water.
This course must have a PS I certificate or be able to demonstrate all of the completion requirements from PS I. Children should be comfortable in a group learning situation and be able to stand alone in 2'8" depth of water.
