Description
A typical Kidding Around Yoga or KAY class gets the children singing, dancing, skipping, marching, jogging, shaking, laughing, hopping, and storytelling all while practicing authentic YOGA to music. KAY is stress management for kids!Much like a structured set of play activities in a preschool or elementary school classroom setting, this class meets 4x a month and provides interactive routines that each child can look forward to each week.
KAY also provides an amazing curriculum designed to motivate children to be active, build confidence, and manage the spectrum of emotions that they experiences in their day-to-day activities.
KAY classes follow an outline that includes starting out the class with mindfulness, meditation or breathing. Next, they move into Basic Lovely Impromptu Short Story (BLISS). BLISS incorporates story telling and yoga poses. Games, props and crafts can often become part of the class, to close with breathing exercises, circle and chant or wish.
Kidding Around Yoga (KAY), is a style of yoga that was created by Harris Lender, ERYT 500, RCYT, YACEP. KAY encompasses the 5 branches of yoga in a clear, engaging method.
For kids aged 4-9.
