About This Activity

Description

Preschool Aquatics 2 (3 to 5 years) builds on the basic aquatic skills learned in Preschool 1, and requires completion of the skills introduced in Preschool 1. This level marks the beginning of independent aquatic locomotion skills, as children continue to explore using simultaneous and alternating arm and leg actions on the front and back to gain more proficiency for future strokes. Most skills in this level are performed with assistance. Exit skills include fully submerging, gliding on the front and back with assistance, and arm and leg movements with assistance.
