In this camp, we will combine two of our popular summer programs. Tennis will take place during the first hour, followed by indoor swim during the second hour. In tennis, you will be challenged whether you are an advanced-beginning or an advanced-intermediate player. We will work on cardiovascular and agility drills and engage in full-court matches. We will stress a full service motion, overhead, and volley skills. You will also learn strategy of singles and doubles play. After assessing your playing level, you will practice with and challenge others of comparable skill. The ball machine will be available and in case of rain, indoor activities that can be applied to tennis will take place. Grab your racquet and get ready for some tennis fun! In swimming, front crawl, backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly, and sidestroke are the strokes you will learn and strengthen in these two weeks. We will throw in water games for some friendly competition. You must be comfortable and independent in the water to participate in this camp. All Tennis & Swim students will spend time cooling off in the Rec Room at the end of class where supervised games and activities will take place. Gaga ball, which was a favorite last summer, will be back!
