The four-week Summer Math Institute provides students exposure to a variety of math concepts based on an overarching theme. Students will be exposed to as many topics each week as is achievable in a fun and interactive experience. In this particular week, centered around Operations with Variables and Graphing Linear Equations, students will work on concepts such as negative numbers, distributive property, combining like terms, equations involving distributive property, CLT, t-charts, finding slope from a graph or using a formula, graphing when given a slope and a point, graphing when using a slope and a y-intercept, graphing from y=mx-b, and using rates. Participation in multiple weeks is encouraged.
