This introduction to yoga is designed specifically for adolescents. EVERY body can do yoga. Explore foundation flows and basic poses for confidence, flexibility, balance, and a powerful core. Develop coordination and strength-even upper body strength- to support you in the lifestyle and activities you love. Beyond the physical practice of yoga, learn basic tenants of yogic mindfulness: non-harming, truthfulness, gratitude, moderation, and cultivation of compassion and joy through a playful mix of heart opening poses, thoughtful discussion, meditation and breath work. Discover how to de-stress, renew and raise your energy, increase creativity and focus, stabilize your mind, and acquire a healthy glow.
